Support for Companies

The Australian Government has announced measures to support businesses impacted by the coronavirus (COVID-19). If you run a company, learn what your business can get and where to go for help.

Boosting Cash Flow for Employers

Provides up to $100,000 back to small and medium-sized businesses, with a minimum payment of $20,000 for eligible businesses. The payment will be tax free. Learn more about this payment in the link below.

ATO - PAYG and Lodgement

To assist taxpayers experiencing financial difficulty as a result of COVID-19, the ATO are providing added flexibility to manage your Tax Obligations to suit your circumstances. Click for more.

Jobkeeper Payment

Commercial Tenancy

Evictions will be put on hold over the next 6 months for commercial and residential tenancies in financial distress, who are unable to meet their commitments. Find out more and how this impacts you.

Apprentices and Trainees

If you employ an apprentice or trainee you may be eligible for a wage subsidy of 50 per cent of their wage paid from 1 January 2020 to 30 September 2020. You can register for the subsidy from early April 2020.

Loans and Credit 

The Coronavirus SME Guarantee Scheme will provide support for these businesses. Under the Scheme, the Government will provide a guarantee of 50 per cent to small and medium enterprise (SME) lenders for new unsecured loans to be used for working capital. Find out more in the link.

Instant Asset Write off

The instant asset write-off threshold has been increased from $30,000 to $150,000 and expanded access to include businesses with aggregated annual turnover of less than $500 million (up from $50 million). Learn more, click the link

Vic Small Business Commission

Offer low-cost dispute resolution services, including mediation, and champion the rights of small businesses.
